MAYcation 2013, VII

We were getting a little fidgetty sitting around all day, so we decided to take most of the month of May and travel the West. So, on May 6, off we went. Here is a pictoral history of our fine MAYcation.

In Pendleton, Oregon, we visited a mill that makes and sells lots of rugs, blankets, robes, and stuff that they loom from contented Oregon and Australian sheeps. First, the wool is fiddled with in Texas, then it's shipped to this mill to be turned into fine (and expensive) stuff. They have a nice store and a tour.

First the wool is spun into yarn. Then the yarn is transformed on giant looms to the finished products. You can buy their stuff online, too. Several folks bought stuff in their store, since there is no sales tax in Oregon.

SHE™, plotting our next locale.

The Rowdie. Doing a cat thing.

When you are out RVing for almost a month, you'd best keep the loo clean and shiny!

We spent a couple days in Brigham City, Utah. This nice KOA has breakfast, nice trees, peace 'n quiet, and friendly staff.

Did I mention that they tow you on a hay wagon ride thru orchards and a bird sanctuary with this olde Ford tractor? Well, they do. Afterwards, we et ice cream. And I hadda metformin.

Teen trying hard not to look bored.

Nice agricultural countryside between mountains and the Great Salt Lake.

Spoo agreed to pose for a pensive picture.

On the road agin, heading home.

The Windy did great. No mechanical issues. Handled mountains well, and didn't completely bankrupt us.

Two things to consider and enjoy when traveling out west...

Good food, like this here clam chowdah.

And the scenery.
